KEHO ja MAA: An Ecosomatic Journey near Koli National Park

Please note: Earlybird tickets available until 23.8.2025!

Date, time, and place: 20.9.2025, Kiviniemi, Mustalahdentie 27, Romppala. We will begin at 10:00 am and finish between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.

Immersed in the living textures of the Finnish forest, we enter a space where body, mind, and environment begin to resonate as one.

This guided experience blends walking, forest bathing, Body-Mind Centering®, and ecosomatic practices to invite participants into a deeper, embodied relationship with nature and with each other. Through gentle movement, breath, touch and sensory exploration, we awaken our inner landscapes while listening to the intelligence of the outer world: the moss underfoot, the shifting light, the rhythm of the trees. The forest as living organism with which we co-regulate by attuning to the environment and to one another. We create a field of shared presence that nourishes us and supports nervous system balance.

Core intentions:

- To experience the forest as kin

- To sense the body as part of an ecological continuum

- To explore co-regulation as a path to self-regulation

- To cultivate states of presence, receptivity, and relational attunement

Each “station” along the forest path becomes a site for somatic inquiry, it is an opportunity to pause, feel, reflect and be moved by the more-than-human world.

This is a return, a remembering, a re-tuning of the senses to the wisdom of the body and the Earth.

Our day trip begins at Kiviniemi, near Koli National Park. Nature’s rich world of textures, colours, shapes, smells and sounds becomes our teacher on this journey. The natural surroundings invite you to move, rest and open your senses. The trail is approximately four kilometres long and of moderate difficulty. We will walk slowly, taking time to fully observe and absorb our surroundings and their impact on us.

During our break by the campfire, we offer coffee/tea and traditional Karelian pie with a vegan wild herb spread.  In addition, please bring your own lunch and snacks.

For whom?

- Seekers of mind–body–nature connection

- Those craving slowness, presence and embodied healing

- Nature lovers, dancers, therapists and anyone curious about somatic ecology

*No previous experience is necessary.
